Previously, he worked for the Serbian weekly Vreme and VIN, the independent TV production house in Serbia, Fade In production house and Documenta, a Croatian organisation dealing with post-conflict justice and reconciliation.

In 2007 Davor was awarded with the third prize at the end of the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence annual programme for the article “Sound of Music Heals Wounds in Former Yugoslavia”.

For the Fellowship, Davor examined the dynamics that encourage and discourage the mobility of cultural ideas, people and products in those parts of the former Yugoslavia using the same language, making a comparison with the post-war development of cultural cooperation among Scandinavian countries.

His research was supervised by Anna McTaggart, an editor of BIRN’s Balkan Insight publication.
