BIRN’s Anna McTaggart was interviewed on TV Metropolis on March 27, about BIRN’s programmes in the region. In particular, the new Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence was presented to the Belgrade audience, with applications encouraged from young journalists.

Editors from a number of leading Serbian media outlets visited BIRN’s Belgrade office on March 23, for a presentation of the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence.

Editors from Beta and Tanjug news agencies, RTS and B92 radio-television stations, Vreme weekly and Danas daily agreed to encourage their journalists eligible for the programme to apply. Materials were distributed to additional Serbian media outlets, who will also advertise the fellowship opportunity among their younger staff.
